Meet the staff

Jane Blair

JANE BLAIR founded ArtMatters in 2001 to share her enthusiasm and love of art. She has a BFA from Boston University and a MFA from University of Illinois. She has been an art educator in many fine art studio disciplines as well as Art History, Art Appreciation, Computer Art, Photography, and Graphic Illustration. She is married to fellow art lover and artist, Wilber Blair and they have a daughter Rebekah who is very excited to be joining the ArtMatters team. A miniature black poodle named Emma is the true power behind the throne.

Beth Knaus

BETH KNAUS has enjoyed being a presenter for ArtMatters for over 12 years. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and three children. When she’s not giving audiences the wonderful chance to learn from looking at art, she works as a freelance writer. You can see her work at: www.thatsaspade.com. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and being with her family.

Cathy Lipson

CATHY LIPSON joined ArtMatters in 2012.  She divides her time between three creative passions: sharing her love of art by presenting for ArtMatters, representing a designer clothing line, and mentoring a high school robotics team. Cathy lives in the Boston area with her husband Gary and has a son, Dan, who is studying mechanical engineering at WPI.
